The perfect escape from monotony
The Swiss bike travel camp was the perfect escape from the monotony of everyday life. The breathtaking views and thrilling rides tested my mettle, but the sense of freedom and independence I gained was priceless. Instructors and other campers were not only knowledgeable and supportive, but also welcoming and inclusive. I returned home with a renewed sense of purpose and a heart full of unforgettable memories. I was a little scared at the beginning of the bike but...
I loved the people, the views, the experience, the monitors - basically everything! I was a little scared at the beginning of the bike but I can tell you that it is not a problem, I was so amazed by all this. Towards the end, I had no words to describe the pleasure I was having! And the people are amazing. I wish the people in the "real world" were more like the people in the camp. But, I realize that the Young Explorers Club is a collection of very special people from the real world, who come together every year and become a family forever. It's so cool to be able to meet new friends.
I loved my two experiences with the club! It's so cool to be able to meet new friends without the pressures of technology, explore a beautiful new site, and feel part of a community. The camp made me enjoy small moments with people who matter. It made me realize how valuable it is to take time away from the unimportant issues that bother me at home. At home, I worry too much about doing well in school and I don't spend enough time doing what makes me happy. Everything was amazing!
Young Explorers Club is a life-changing experience that will change your world for the better! I was surprised at how quickly I made friends and learned that getting out of your comfort zone has many benefits. I want to thank the instructors for taking care of me and giving me an extremely fun experience! At YEC, I learned how to make lemonade from lemons and see the bright side of things.
