WHY our FAMILY CAMPS ARE Unique?

  • At Young Explorers Club, our Family Camps are designed for families who want to share real adventures together, disconnect from daily routines, and create meaningful memories in the outdoors.
  • Many holidays separate parents and children into different activities. Our family camps are about doing things together — overcoming challenges, celebrating achievements, and creating shared memories. We take care of everything.
  • These are not classic holidays — they are active, immersive experiences where parents and children explore, learn, and grow side by side, surrounded by nature and guided by experienced outdoor professionals.
  • Based in Switzerland, our family camps combine adventure, comfort, safety, and flexibility, in an international and bilingual (English–French) environment.

Our Program of Activities evolves every year to stay fresh, exciting, and meaningful. We continuously improve the schedule, introduce new experiences, and refine our workshops based on feedback from campers and families. IF A FAMILY DOES NOT WANT TO PARTICIPATE TO A SPECIFIC ACTIVITY THERE IS ALWAYS 1 BACKUP ACTIVITY TO CHOSE FROM!

Day 1 – Arrival & Alpine Welcome

Families arrive in Champéry and settle into the private chalet. Children meet their adventure group through outdoor games while parents enjoy a relaxed welcome. The evening brings a camp presentation, safety briefing, and a shared alpine dinner to kick off the week together.

Day 2 – Swiss Culture & Cheese Making

The day begins with a hands-on Swiss cheese-making workshop, where families discover local traditions and create their own alpine cheese. In the afternoon, children take part in team challenges and nature games focused on cooperation and confidence, while parents enjoy free time or village exploration. Evening games and storytelling back at the chalet.

Day 3 – Rock Climbing & Via Ferrata Adventure

A true mountain adventure day. Families split by age and ability to experience rock climbing and via ferrata, guided by certified professionals. Kids build courage, trust and resilience while parents share the thrill. The afternoon winds down with relaxation and reflection games. Optional sauna or quiet evening at the chalet.

Day 4 – Summit Hike & Downhill Scooters

Cable car ascent followed by a family-friendly summit hike, offering breathtaking views over the Dents du Midi. After a mountain picnic, the adventure continues with downhill scooters, racing safely back toward the village on alpine paths. Evening creative workshop and photo recap of the day’s achievements.

Day 5 – Orienteering, Adventure Games & Bunker Exploration

Morning orienteering challenge using maps and GPS, combined with Explor Games®-style adventure missions, puzzles and teamwork in the forest. In the afternoon, families visit a historic Swiss military bunker, discovering hidden tunnels and learning about Swiss alpine defence history. Evening challenge awards and campfire fun.

Day 6 – MTB, Camping & Outdoor Survival Night

A highlight of the week. Families head out on a guided mountain bike (MTB) adventure adapted to all levels. The journey leads to a camping overnight experience, where children learn basic outdoor skills, set up camp, cook together and enjoy a night under the stars. Stories, laughter and unforgettable memories guaranteed.
