horse riding travel camp in spain In a nutshell:

The Horse Riding Travel Camp is one of the most immersive and adventurous experiences offered by Young Explorers Club. This is not a traditional riding camp — it’s a true expedition on horseback, crossing borders, valleys, forests, and mountain passes in the heart of the Pyrenees.

Participants ride through Spain (La Cerdanya), Andorra, and France, discovering breathtaking landscapes while developing confidence, resilience, and a deep connection with horses and nature.

This camp combines horse riding, outdoor travel, camping, teamwork, and cultural discovery in a truly international setting.

A True Horse Riding Travel Camp

This is a traveling horseback expedition, where participants:

– Ride several hours per day through changing landscapes
– Care for their horses daily (grooming, feeding, bonding)
– Learn trail riding techniques and outdoor horsemanship
– Travel with purpose — moving camp as the journey progresses
– Routes are carefully adapted to the group’s level and weather conditions.

– Sleeping under the stars in nature.
– Campfire evenings and group meals.
– Learning outdoor living skills.

Mountain Chalets:
– Comfortable nights after long riding day.
– Shared rooms and hot showers.

A program rich in learning

Building confidence and skills:
Our camp is not limited to physical activities; It’s a platform for personal growth. Campers learn how to overcome challenges, build confidence, and develop leadership skills.

A safe and supportive environment:
Safety is our priority. All activities are supervised by experienced instructors and we ensure that every camper feels supported and encouraged throughout their journey.

We offer this camp for 12* – 17 year olds (itinerary and activities adapted to needs). This program is designed to foster the development of technical and soft skills through a series of activities, workshops, and hands-on leadership opportunities. We believe in bringing together an international community, which is why the languages spoken at the camp are French and English, which is what we have seen from our past experience and the huge benefit of mixing Francophones and Anglophones and learning from both groups.

*Under 12? At our discretion, and if participants are particularly fit and motivated, we allow age exceptions. Please contact us for more information.

Our Program of Activities and itineraries evolves every year to stay fresh, exciting, and meaningful. We continuously improve the schedule, introduce new experiences, and refine our itineraries based on feedback from campers and families. In 2026 we have designed 3 different itineraries completly new from last year. They include exciting activities and amazing landscapes.
