Les Diablerets to Aigle through the Pays-d'Enhaut and Gruyère

Moléson & Gruyère is the most accessible of our three bike travel camps, made for riders with an intermediate level. From Les Diablerets the group crosses the Pays-d'Enhaut to Château-d'Oex, rides into Gruyère, climbs to the foot of the Moléson, then rolls down to Lake Geneva and along the Rhône to Aigle.

The days are shorter than on the other routes, with time for the castle town of Gruyères or a chocolate factory, the Moléson's park and an aquapark by the lake. The group sleeps in tents along the route, and every participant gets a bike, bike bags and the group's equipment.

More details

  • What's included
    • The price includes all the participant's costs during the camp: transport during the camp, food, accommodation and the group's equipment (tents and everything the activities need).
    • All the material is included for every participant, Swiss resident or international: the bike, the bike bags and a helmet.
    • Your own bike is recommended if your child has one they know, in their size and well fitted. The form you fill in after booking asks whether they plan to bring it; answering is optional.
    • Airport shuttle: transport from and to Geneva Airport is included for international participants.

Not included: transport to the meeting point for Swiss participants, and personal equipment: sleeping bag (contact us if you need one), clothing and other personal expenses.

  • Fitness & experience level

The most accessible of our three bike travel camps. Minimum bike level: intermediate. Days of 13 to 39 km, mostly on roads and tracks; the hardest day climbs 760 m to Gros Plané. Riders should be able to ride several days in a row.

It is the responsibility of legal guardians to honestly assess whether the participant has the required level before registering.

  • Packing list

Everything to bring is on our material list.

  • Meeting point & travel

Swiss participants meet at Lausanne station, international participants at Geneva Airport. Transport is organised from both to Les Diablerets, where the camp starts, and back at the end of the week.

  • Dates

Our three bike travel camps take turns through the summer: the 3 Crown Route, The Loop and Moléson & Gruyère. A participant who stays several weeks rides a different route each week. The weeks of this route are in the calendar further down this page.

Participants may arrive or leave on slightly different dates depending on logistics: contact us.

  • Languages

This program is designed to foster the development of technical and soft skills through a series of activities, workshops, and hands-on leadership opportunities. We believe in bringing together an international community, which is why the languages spoken at the camp are French and English, which is what we have seen from our past experience and the huge benefit of mixing Francophones and Anglophones and learning from both groups.

  • Does the programme of activities change week by week?

Yes. Our three bike travel camps take turns week by week, so a participant who stays two or three weeks rides a different route each week: the 3 Crown Route, The Loop and Moléson & Gruyère.

  • Do you have any other questions?

We believe in human-to-human interaction: write to us via our contact methods and schedule a call or meeting with one of our employees.

We will be happy to answer any doubts or questions you may have.

  • SafetyA participant to staff ratio of 5:1
  • PhilosophySmall groups One leader for every five children, so every child is known by name.
  • PhilosophyChildren choose Every day offers real options, and nobody is pushed into what they are not ready for.
  • PhilosophyOutside, all day Phones stay away for the week: the mountain is more interesting.
  • PhilosophyMany languages, one table Children from different countries share the same games, meals and campfire.
  • PhilosophyLeaders, not babysitters Chosen for how they are with children as much as for what they can climb.
