Teen Leadership and Adventure Camp: the week of 9 August 2026

Thursday's photos covered a full stretch of camp. The group rode horses in single file along a lane at the edge of the pastures, under a clear blue sky. At a lift station they put on helmets and took mountain carts down gravel tracks and grass paths, past cows grazing beside the way, then rode downhill scooters through the woods; the scooters went up in the gondola with them. On a rock face the group climbed clipped to the cables, then lined up for a photo on the meadow with the peaks behind. In the evening they watched the sun set over the meadows and laid out their sleeping bags under the pines for a night in the open.

The first photos of the week came from a via ferrata beside a tall waterfall. In helmets and harnesses, the group clipped onto the steel cable and climbed the iron rungs up a grey rock wall, with pine trees and a green valley far below. At the foot of the falls everyone stopped for a photo, arms in the air, and there was time to sit on the rocks by the rushing stream. The sun was out all the way. The same set of photos also showed an archery hall with wide windows onto the mountains, where the group took turns drawing long wooden bows.
