Junior Multisports Camp: the week of 2 August 2026

On Thursday evening the group set off with mattresses and sleeping bags for a night out near the Col du Pillon. The photos shared on Friday told the story: after dark, everyone gathered in the red glow of the fire, then slept on mats laid out among the pines, and woke slowly with the low sun coming through the trees. There was a game in the forest too, with numbered bibs and coloured bands, and moss and leaves collected along the way. Later the sky opened up to blue over the meadows.

Thursday's photos came from three places. In an indoor archery range in the village, with chalets and green slopes showing through the netting, the group took turns at the bow while an instructor guided arms and elbows into place. On a bouldering wall of pale wood covered in coloured holds, they climbed one after another, reaching across the big black and orange volumes. Outside, under a deep blue sky, a small group in helmets sat on top of a rock outcrop with the mountains all around.

The photos the leaders shared on Tuesday went back over the first days. One set followed a walk along a narrow path through tall pines to a mountain stream, where the group spread out across the rocks and the shallow water. The stream's grey mud soon turned into face paint. Other photos showed a game on the lawn by the chalets, with the green slopes of the valley behind, a picnic on the bank of a river, and a rest in the grass with bike helmets still on. In most of them the sun was out and the sky was clear.

The group ate outside on the grass, at benches set out in a circle, with the grill going at the edge of the lawn. There was also a swim at an outdoor pool at the foot of the mountains, with a long blue slide at one end. The sky stayed grey and the clouds hung low over the peaks, but the water was the centre of everything: splashing, heads bobbing in the middle of the pool, and the rock faces standing behind.
