Bike Travel Camp: across the Swiss Alps

A bike trip through the Swiss Alps and Pre-Alps, a new place most days, sleeping mostly in tents, while a vehicle carries the luggage. Long distances with a lot of climbing on roads, gravel and trails: a good cycling level and fitness are essential. Bikes are provided.

For a younger beginner, the MTB and Cycling programme of the junior camp teaches the skills from the start.

Tour of Mont Blanc: three countries on foot

A backpacking trek around the Mont Blanc massif, through France, Italy and Switzerland, sleeping in tents and mountain huts. It is a real expedition: hiking every day with a backpack and cold nights at altitude. Hiking experience and broken-in boots are strongly recommended. The pace is set for the group: we walk as fast as our slowest hiker.

Questions parents ask

Is a travel camp right for my teen?

If your teen is 12 or older, active and curious, yes. The travel camps ask for more fitness than the residential camps. If you are unsure, talk to us before booking: we'll help you choose.

Is the Bike Travel Camp suitable for a beginner?

No. It covers long distances with a lot of climbing, so a good cycling level and fitness are essential. For a young beginner, the MTB and Cycling programme of the junior camp is ideal.

Is the Tour of Mont Blanc very hard?

It is a real expedition: hiking every day with a backpack, nights in tents and huts, and cold nights at altitude. Hiking experience and broken-in boots are strongly recommended, and good fitness is needed.

Where do the teens sleep?

Mostly in tents, with a vehicle carrying the luggage on the Bike Travel Camp, and in tents and mountain huts on the Tour of Mont Blanc.

Can I call my teen during the week?

There is a call day every week, and the team can always be reached in an emergency. On the travel camps, calls depend on mobile reception.
